Jakarta, Kuningan Place – 15th December 2010, Royal Tots Academy and Seven Strings held their first Christmas pageant. The audience was mesmerized by the confidence and independence shown by the young students of Royal Tots Academy.

Each student had a particular part to play in the nativity scene and each line was said with confident English. The music and drama was especially exciting as each child moved to the Christmas songs.

Parents were amazed by the independence shown by the children as they performed on stage without teacher direction. Some parents cried at the sight of their children showing such strong values and attitudes as they performed in front of approximately 200 people.

The Principal of Royal Tots Academy, Miss Sandra Byrnes, was interviewed after the performance and asked how was it possible to engage children from the 18months to 5 years in such a professional performance. Her reply was ” At our school, we begin from the day the children walk in the door to develop their confidence and independence, each child’s talents and abilities are reinforced and in all class activities with the help of our wonderful staff. We also have a very supportive parent community who assisted our school, for at RTA, we believe the connection between home and school must be like a family feeling”.

It was a wonderful evening with all parents, teachers and community members finishing with carols by candlelight. This was the final point of the evening and a fantastic point to finish on.
